You KNOW you ball so hard, when they have to change the rules to make it fair for others to have a fighting chance. Even at 86, Tim Duncan is killing them out here.
All the front-court ‘tweeners’ in the western conference can stop complaining now, the NBA changed the All Star ballot to accommodate those athletes who aren’t getting chosen because Tim Duncan is a beast and dominates the center position.
…That’s not how David Aldridge described it on his NBA Blog, but that’s what he meant, in a nutshell.
From now on, we will vote for front court players (forward, power forward, center) but their positions will be ambiguous; i.e. Tim Duncan will not be listed as a center, just “front court”.
Small change that sounds like it doesn’t matter but now the other centers actually have a fighting chance to make the team.
